Tests

8 November 2005

Today I was taking the CPT and there were a few questions that I didn’t know. It got me thinking, how come tests don’t have this little system:
You have one right answer. You got two or three points. Not to sure about that one yet.
Two not so right answers. You get one points.
And then one not right answer. You get no points.

There is one totaly right answer, 2 kind of right answers and one wrong answer. This tests is you really know what you are talking about because there are two answers there that are semi right, but only one that is totaly right.

Downsides: When you christmas tree a test, students will have a lot better chance of getting a good grade. I mean true, it is an upside to students but be real, when you christmas tree a test you are guessing, not even that, you don’t deserve the points. Plus test makers are generaly lazy (hence all of the above and none of the above you see on tests)

I don’t know if it actualy would work or not. People are been given tests for a very long time, I’m sure if there is something better out there it would have shown up by now. Just an idea. Stupid CPT…
